Over My Head (The Fray)

You wake up at night and the decision is “on your mind.” Does that mean it’s a mistake?

This classic by The Fray is about a guy who is in a relationship that is causing him anxiety.

If you’re buying or selling a home, I am sure these feelings sound familiar.  You wake up at night and the decision is “on your mind.”  Does that mean it’s a mistake?

Not at all.  Instead, it means your emotionally vested in the outcome.  You want the house (or the deal) so much that you are losing sleep over it.  Does the narrator’s anxiety in the song mean he doesn’t love her? Or that he loves her SO MUCH he can’t think about anything else? I would say the latter.

If you sleep like a baby the first time you offer a million dollars for something, you may want to question whether you’re taking it seriously enough!
